One of the most iconic idol plays in Survivor history. For the first time this season, idols were hidden at challenges rather than camp. Kelley grabbed the idol during the first Immunity Challenge without anyone noticing. She played it at the Episode 8 tribal council ('You Call, We'll Haul'), negating a staggering 9 votes from Andrew Savage, Jeremy, Joe, Keith, Kelly Wiglesworth, Kimmi, Spencer, Stephen, and Tasha. Andrew Savage was blindsided with just 3 votes from Kelley, Ciera, and Abi-Maria.

Jeremy found a clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol at camp and then retrieved the idol during the Day 9 Immunity Challenge. He kept this idol secret for a long time as part of his 'meat shield' strategy. He played it on Stephen Fishbach at the Episode 13 tribal council ('Villains Have More Fun'), negating 4 votes against Stephen and saving his closest ally. This was a critical move in maintaining Jeremy's alliance structure.

Jeremy found his second idol during a challenge post-merge. He saved this idol for the critical Final 6 tribal council ('Lie, Cheat and Steal', Episode 14, Day 38). Both Jeremy and Kelley played idols at this tribal council, creating the first-ever null vote in Survivor history where ALL votes cast were negated. Jeremy's idol negated 3 votes against him. In the subsequent revote, the remaining eligible voters unanimously eliminated Kimmi Kappenberg.

Kelley found her second idol hidden during a post-merge challenge. She played it at the same Final 6 tribal council as Jeremy ('Lie, Cheat and Steal', Episode 14, Day 38), negating 3 votes against her. This created the historic first null vote in Survivor history, as every vote cast at this tribal was negated between the two idol plays. In the revote, Kimmi Kappenberg was unanimously eliminated.
