๐ Advantages & Idols
Season 33: Millennials vs. Gen X
Jessica Lewis (Day 1, Ep 1)
Jessica discovered the first-ever Legacy Advantage on Day 1 during the marooning, finding it nestled beneath the supplies scattered on the beach. The envelope revealed that if she made it to Day 36, she would receive immunity at that tribal council. If voted out before Day 36, she had to will it to another player. Jessica was eliminated on Day 30 via the season's dramatic rock draw tiebreaker in Episode 10 ('Million Dollar Gamble'). She willed the Legacy Advantage to her closest ally, Ken McNickle.
David Wright (Day 5, Ep 2)
Day 11, Episode 4
For: Jessica Lewis
5 votes negated
David's early idol search raised suspicion among his Gen X tribemates, but he successfully found the Takali idol on Day 5. He showed it to Ken McNickle to cement their alliance. David played it for Jessica Lewis at the Episode 4 tribal council ('Who's the Sucker at the Table?'), negating 5 votes against her and blindsiding Lucy Huang in a dramatic power shift. This bold move established David as a strategic force in the game.
Jay Starrett (Day 13, Ep 5)
Day 30, Episode 10
For: Jay Starrett
2 votes negated
Jay found the Hidden Immunity Idol at the new Ikabula tribe camp on Day 13 during the tribe expansion to three tribes. He and Will Wahl discovered it together, but they were caught by Michaela Bradshaw, who promised not to reveal their secret. Jay saved the idol until post-merge and played it at the Episode 10 tribal council on Day 30, negating 2 votes against him. While he only negated a small number of votes, the play was successful in keeping him safe that round.
David Wright (Day 14, Ep 6)
After David's first idol was played for Jessica in Episode 4, the idol was rehidden. David found the rehidden idol on Day 14, demonstrating his exceptional idol-finding ability. He carried this idol through the tribe swap and into the merge but ultimately did not play it. David also used his crafting skills to create a convincing fake idol that would later fool Jay Starrett.
Adam Klein (Day 21, Ep 7)
Day 36, Episode 13
For: Jay Starrett
0 votes negated
Adam found the Reward Steal advantage hidden in the roof of Tree Mail at the merge feast on Day 21 (Episode 7, 'I'm the Kingpin'). A clue had been placed in the merge feast basket leading him to it. Adam later gave the advantage to Jay Starrett as a gesture of gratitude after Jay selected Adam to share the Family Visit reward. Jay used the Reward Steal in Episode 13 ('I'm Going for a Million Bucks') at the Final 6, stealing a steak dinner reward from David Wright and selecting David and Adam to join him.
Adam Klein (Day 3, Ep 1)
Day 33, Episode 11
For: Hannah Shapiro
0 votes negated
Adam found the Vanua (Millennials) tribe's Hidden Immunity Idol early in the game. He played it on Hannah Shapiro at the Episode 11 tribal council ('About to Have a Rumble') on Day 33 at the Final 8. However, Hannah did not receive enough votes to be in danger - the target was Zeke Smith, who was eliminated. The idol play was unnecessary, making it unsuccessful.
Adam Klein (Day 37, Ep 14)
Day 38, Episode 14
For: Adam Klein
0 votes negated
Adam found his second Hidden Immunity Idol on Day 37 near the end of the game. He played it on himself at the Final 4 tribal council (Episode 14) on Day 38, but he received no votes - the target was David Wright, who was unanimously voted out 3-1. While the idol play was unnecessary, Adam went on to win the season unanimously 10-0-0 at Final Tribal Council.
Ken McNickle (Day 30, Ep 10)
Day 36, Episode 13
For: Ken McNickle
1 vote negated
Ken inherited the Legacy Advantage from Jessica Lewis after her elimination via rock draw on Day 30. On Day 36 (Episode 13, 'I'm Going for a Million Bucks'), Ken opened the advantage and learned it granted him immunity at that tribal council. He played it like a Hidden Immunity Idol, and it successfully negated Jay Starrett's vote against him. Ken became the first player in Survivor history to use the Legacy Advantage. He survived and made it to the Final Tribal Council, where he received 0 jury votes as Adam won unanimously.
Jay Starrett (Day 35, Ep 13)
Day 36, Episode 13
For: Jay Starrett
0 votes negated
David Wright crafted a convincing fake Hidden Immunity Idol and planted it for Jay to find. Jay discovered the fake idol and believed it was real, giving him false confidence heading into tribal council. At the Episode 13 tribal council on Day 36, Jay played the fake idol on himself. Jeff Probst declared it was not a valid Hidden Immunity Idol, and Jay was blindsided, voted out 5-0. This was a masterful strategic play by David that eliminated one of his biggest threats.
